Position Description

The Chief Operating Office is responsible promoting the success of Asphalt Services of Ohio through the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. While acting as the Safety Coordinator, they are to ensure that all employees can complete their work safely in a safe working environment. They set safety standards for the workplace based on legal requirements and train employees to help them understand these rules. The Safety Coordinator also monitors working conditions and resolves any safety issues that may arise.

Skills/Experience Needed:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Education and/or Experience – Minimum of an associate degree preferred; three or more years’ industry related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
