Position Description:

Work year round, Commercial Masonry jobs in OHIO

Primary Purpose:

• The Mason Foreman is responsible for the coordination of construction activities at a project site with respect to manpower, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, plans and specifications, and policies and procedures.

Routine Duties:

• Develop and implement a construction schedule that is updated weekly.
• Create and maintain relationships with team members, subcontractors, customers, and employees.
• Plan, implement and manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals.
• Manage daily crew layouts and updates.
• Must be able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently for yourself and others.
• Manage a team of employees and multiple projects at one time.
• Determine resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) within budgetary limitations.
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines.
• Run all correspondence through office manager and direct supervisor.
• Report to office manager and direct supervisor daily.
• Acquire equipment and material necessary for all active jobs.
• Meet with sales team to review upcoming projects.
• Meet with foreman and review project before the start of construction and during
• Ensure all jobsites are clean and organized throughout construction phases.
• Take and update photos of all jobs and phases.
• Adhere to relevant safety regulations.
• Manage and guide the use of machinery and equipment.
• Peacefully resolve any emerging problems and issues.
• Allocate and delegate responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience of field construction experience in supervisory capacity.
• Must have a valid and clean Ohio driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 lbs. climb up and down, carry tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Experience with blueprint reading, masonry, and managing crews.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, through use of smart phone, and in writing.
• Ability to perform job functions safely.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and tolerate exposure to the elements.
